Jacob's Progress This is just a little report to let you all know how I’ve been going on with my competitions on the mini-tours.
This past week has been a busy week for me playing in the Derbyshire Double at Cavendish & Kedleston Park - round two courses I know very well. Round 1 at Cavendish was one of those bad days we all have, where nothing went right which was very disappointing as I had high expectations. Going into round two at Kedleston I shot 73 (+1) after a disappointing finish in the last four holes, dropping 4 shots and finishing in a tie for 13th on the day. Then on Monday 7th September, I was back at Cavendish for a Pro-Am ran by Golfingdays, looking to get some revenge after the disaster a week before. After a sluggish start and some sloppy errors (which we all make), I battled hard on the last five holes playing them 3 under to finish with a score of 70 (+2) and in a tie for 6th place in tricky conditions. Once again I would like to thank everyone who has helped by donating some sponsorship. Without your generosity competing in these events wouldn’t be possible for me due to the financial expenses. Next up on my schedule is the PGA Assistants Championship 21-25 September at Oakmere Park. ~Jacob Bagshaw, Assistant Professional |
