Keeping You Informed So far we have no indication as to when we will be able to open the course and get back to playing golf. Neither do we know what form of golf we will be allowed to play, will it be 4 balls, or 2 balls, what restrictions will be put in place regarding close contact, etc? We are now rapidly running out of time to complete our club competition program for 2020. This uncertainty has led to my proposal to the board that the whole of the 2020 competition calendar is to be abandoned. When we are allowed back on the course there will be weekends free for as many competitions as we can fit in, whether they be Medals, Stablefords, or Social games, (Handicap Qualifiers or not). Further details will be posted as and when they are received. World Handicap There is no news if this is still to be introduced in November 2020. However, members should be aware that your handicap will be based on your last 20 Handicap Qualifying Comps, with no indication how far back you can go. I would advise everyone to play as many Qualifiers as they can for the remainder of this year to ensure their handicap corresponds to their current playing ability.
