Bar & Catering Arrangements You will, no doubt, have noticed changes in staffing arrangements for bar and catering over recent weeks, particularly an influx of new members of staff. The changes have been introduced to improve staffing stability and reduce staff turn-over by replacing the club’s longstanding reliance on “zero-hours contracts” with agreements that guarantee minimum hours. Of course, there will still be some reliance on casual employees for special events. The new arrangements haven’t suited some existing staff members who have resigned their positions. However, in order to avoid any misunderstanding, I am instructed by Committee to make it clear that the changes are not to be regarded as any criticism of existing members of staff, none of whom have been dismissed or had their employment terminated. It is simply that the new arrangements don’t suit their needs. The committee unanimously welcomes the new staff members to Leek Golf Club and thanks past members of staff for their contribution.
