Leek Golf Club PGA Pro-Am - Friday 13th July

Once again the Prestigious Leek Pro-Am will take place. This is your opportunity to play alongside the best PGA Professionals and future stars of the game from the Midland region and beyond, previous well known Stars to have taken part in this event are Masters winner Danny Willett and Ryder Cup Stars David Gilford, Paul Broadhurst and Peter Baker just to name a few.

It will take place Friday 13th July 2018.

There is a sheet on the notice board for the June Medal and Past Captains' Trophy, please could you put your own names down, tee times run from 8.00am – 3.30pm.

1st Division winner - Phil Davies - Gross 70 Nett 66.

2nd Division winner - Nick Baines - Gross 79 Nett 69.

3rd Division winner - David Twist - Gross 86 Nett 70.

4th Division winner - Doug Molloy - Gross 95 Nett 72.

Ladies competition results

Nancy Close Trophy 8th May, at last a lovely day! And a competitive field of Ladies competing for the Nancy Close Trophy which is an Individual Stableford format.

Winner of the Trophy was Gil Damjanovic with 36 points, second was Jo Peacock with 35 points and third was Janet Gilbert on 34 points. Congratulations to Gil Damjanovic on winning the Trophy.

Played on the same day was a 9 Hole Stableford Competition and another fixture that was very competitive with four Ladies all scoring 14 points. On count back the winner was Deb Barnett, followed by Wendy Thornhill, Doreen Gibson and Mary Allen.

The Midweek Medal played on 10th May was won by Gil Damjanovic with a Nett 71. Very well done Gil on two wins in a week.

What's your go-to club?

Some rounds our driver is our best friend, consistently finding the fairway and not putting us into any trouble off the tee.
