Ladies

Ladies, I'm sure you will agree we will be glad to see the back of January, February and March. Snow, wet, windy and so cold although I cannot believe how many of us have played in some of these conditions. Bring on the warmer weather. 

Have you seen the bunkers on the 4th. WOW they look awesome. However, I am not thinking of landing in them this year! Great work greens staff and greens committee.

Congratulations to Nick Wittich who won the Valentine’s Day raffle. A big thank you to both ladies and gentlemen for your support. You raised a massive £222.00 for my Charities - Birmingham Children's Hospital and the British Heart Foundation.

The winners of my competition on Tuesday 6th March (the morning ladies) were Ursula Smith, Pauline Swindells and Janet Gilbert. The afternoon winners were Jo Peacock, Marion Lilly and Dot Cowburn. Jo having the advantage of being the wild card for both teams.

Thank you to all the ladies who went out to play in the cold, wet and windy weather. About 40 ladies enjoyed afternoon tea. (Even some of the men, it’s surprising how popular you are when cream cakes are about).

A big thank you to Greg our professional who was brave enough to join us for questions and answers, some not golf related. Lol.

Two of the ladies’ section represented Mr. Captain’s team in Mr. Captain Team Vs Junior Captains Team on Saturday 24th March. I understand from speaking to both teams they had a great day.

The Lady Captains’ team is looking forward to playing the Junior Captains’ team later in the year.

The ladies section has agreed to sponsor the junior match on Sunday 3rd June. The trophy and prizes will be awarded annually on the junior presentation evening. Play well, but more importantly enjoy!
