Captain's v Juniors team match
Last week saw the return of this popular fixture in to the Club's diary due to the efforts of our Captain John Pennington.
John feels that it is imperative that we support our Juniors in their development and also encourage them to integrate with the more senior members of our Golf Club. John says "Today has been great for everyone involved. We made the most of the limited opportunities to meet our younger members and we thoroughly enjoyed their company over a lovely meal afterwards" The match result was a win for the Captain's Team 4-2. |

Congratulations to the Juniors that secured valuable points for their Team. They were Bo Robinson and Jamie Dreya who beat Andy Baxter and Ade Holland. Also Harry Fearn and Peter Malkin who were successful in overcoming Mr Captain and Pete Nixon.Well done to all the Juniors for their excellent conduct and etiquette on the course.
Following Saturday's match the Juniors received their medals from last year's competitions. Hugely successful winners who were present to collect their well-earned awards were Harry Flower, Isaac Smith, Zarak Curley, Izzy Robinson, Bo Robinson, Leanne Nixon, Jamie Dreya and Jake Wilshaw. Many thanks to Mike Barker (Competition Sect) for all the hard work in making this possible.

There’s a well-known phrase: if you can’t beat them, join them. So while it’s unlikely you’ll be challenging for a Ryder Cup place later this year, why not join the world’s best in following the latest golf trends? |
Tour stars like Andy Sullivan aren’t the only fans of this PING Quinn polo, which has been getting a lot of attention in our shop. Like most of PING’s premium polos, it’s made from a crease resistant, moisture-wicking, stretch fabric, so if you opt for this you’ll get a full range of motion and stay cool when the weather hots up. | |
