Lady Captain's Farewell - Tuesday, 17th October 2017 Over 40 ladies participated in the Lady Captain’s Farewell competition. The “escalator” stableford competition - teams of three, where the score of the first lady was multiplied by score of the second lady and again by the third proved a challenging format. If one lady scored no points, then the score for the hole was zero.
The winners of the 9 hole competition were: Lesley Powell, Susan Watson and Chris Evans with 46 points. The runners up of the 18 holes comeptition were: Jo Peacock, Marion Lilley and Dot Cowburn with a massive 93 points. Well done to all the ladies who participated. In the evening, the ladies enjoyed a two course meal. After the meal the prizes for the Farewell competition was presented by the Lady Captain. The Lady Captain also presented the prizes for the Winter League, Team Events and Individual Stablefords and Medals. Ladies, please note that the presentation of trophies will take place at the Ladies Christmas meal on Tuesday, 5th December. |
