Bereavement Notice 

Sadly on Monday night Nigel Wint passed away in his sleep, Nigel aged 63 had been a member of Leek Golf Club for 15 years. Funeral arrangements will be published on the secretary's notice board in due course. 

Presentation Evening - Friday 11th November 

A reminder to the Men's Section that the presentation evening will take place tomorrow evening (11th November), anybody who has won a prize this year is kindly asked to attend along with any other members who wish to come and support the competition winners. 

Men's 2nd Team - New Captain - Rich Cordon 

We would like to thank Rich Cordon for taking over the 2nd team captaincy from Steve Matthews for the upcoming season. Anybody interested in playing team golf this year please leave your name and number with the pro-shop and it will be passed on to the relevant Captain.

The Captain's Challenge - Sunday 6th November 

Sunday 6th November saw a long standing competition resurrected. A trophy was donated by Kenneth Hulme in 1992 called "The Captains Challenge" this competition was for The Captain to put a team out to play The Juniors. This competition has not been played for a while, so Mr Captain, Andrew Baxter asked the Junior Captain Mr Greg Lilley to field a team. 

This was there for played in what can only be described as the coldest day of the year for golf! The match was closely contested with Mr Captain's team winning 3 matches to 2. Everyone who played certainly enjoyed it and everyone sat down to a steak pie, chips and peas meal. In his speech Mr Captain hoped that this trophy would be played for again. Thanks to Peter Nixon for all his organisation of the day.
