Captian's Message
I'm very pleased to have this opportunity to address the members of Leek Golf Club in this first edition of the new weekly Club Newsletter.
I consider myself fortunate to have such a supportive Management Committee for my year in office. I feel that with the experience we have available coupled with some new members on the Committee who are bursting with ideas and enthusiasm, Leek Golf Club will continue to be one of the premier clubs in the County.
Now that the winter months are almost over we can look forward together to the forthcoming season. I'm personally very excited about Greg Rogula taking up his position as Club Professional on Monday March 3rd. I know that I can pass on your gratitude to Jake Scragg for his efforts in covering the post since last September. He is a huge asset to this golf club and I'm sure that he will form a great partnership with Greg going forward. Another event which excites me in my year as Captain is the return of the Pro Am which will take place on August 7th.
On a final note I have to thank Jen Flavell for her outstanding performance in the kitchen over the winter. Week after week Jen and her team have provided a quality product for members to enjoy. It's great to see Jen enjoying her role as House Manager once again.
I sincerely hope that the 2014 season brings you all many happy memories.
Yours in golf,
Dave Gallimore, Captain 2014
