Leek Pro-Am to Masters Glory

From the Leek Pro-Am in 2009 to the green Jacket in 2016, congratulations to Danny Willett who, as I'm sure most of you saw on Sunday night, won his first major championship with a faultless 67 final round. We included a piece a few weeks ago about how Danny had played in 2 Leek Pro-Am events and it seemed appropriate to mention it again following his win at Augusta National.

A very good weekend for Danny which also resulted in a good one for Jake, who put his money on Danny to win while his odds were 100/1, some people have all the luck!! 

Tee times are still available for the 2016 Leek Pro-Am on Friday 1st July, if you would like to book or require more information please contact the Pro-Shop. Anybody who has already requested a tee time but has not paid please could you drop your money into the Pro-Shop, your time cannot be held if full payment is not received. 

Members Team (all 3 players MUST be members) - £175.00 
Visitors Team - £200 

Beginner Ladies Group Coaching

Once again, I will be holding a Ladies evening group-coaching aimed at ladies who are new to the game. The cost will be £25 for 5 x 1 hour sessions and will be held on Tuesday evenings 6pm - 7pm. We have equipment available to use so if you know of anybody who might like to give golf a go, please get them to contact the Pro-Shop (01538 384767). The first lesson will be on Tuesday 3rd May.

Rolling back the Years - Dave Nadin

Congratulations to Dave Nadin who had a hole in one at the 9th hole on Wednesday 13th April; despite his willing the ball not to drop, it did disappear for his hole in one.

New 2nd Team Captain

Steve Matthews has agreed to take on the role as 2nd Team Captain for the forthcoming season, I am sure Steve will do a fantastic job and hopefully get promotion into Division 3. Anybody who wishes to play for the 2nd Team this year please contact Steve to let him know you are interested. His number is in the back of your fixture diary.

Themed Nights

Starting Thursday May 5th with our ITALIAN EVENING - 7pm onwards. On the first Thursday each month throughout the season to run in conjunction with the fine dining Thursday gourmet nights, already available. A two course meal of starter and main, with a choice of dish in each course, costing around £14.00 dependant on selection. Sweets will be available on request. Pre-booking is advisable.
